Dhaka, March 15 – The Central Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Professional Journalists Forum (BPJF) has urged media house authorities to clear all pending salaries, allowances, and Eid bonuses for journalists, workers, and employees by the 20th of Ramadan.
In a joint statement issued on Saturday (March 15), BPJF President Kazi Shariful Islam (Shakil) and General Secretary Md. Roman Akand called upon the concerned authorities to ensure timely payments ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Full payment of salaries, allowances, and Eid bonuses for journalists and staff working in various media outlets before 20th Ramadan.
Settlement of all pending dues to ensure that media professionals can celebrate Eid with financial security.
Monitoring by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to ensure compliance.
The BPJF leaders stated, "Eid means joy, Eid means h appiness. We expect media owners to clear all rightful dues of journalists and employees so that they can celebrate this festive occasion without financial stress."
They further emphasized that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting should oversee the process to ensure media houses adhere to the demand.
